This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting multilingual learners and helping students build confidence and success in the classroom. Responsibilities Provide instructional support for English Language Learners in grades 9-12 Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development across content areas Monitor student progress and support language acquisition goals Administer ACCESS testing for students required to participate Build positive relationships with students and families Participate in school meetings, collaboration, and student support processes as needed Qualifications Valid Nevada teaching license with an ELAD/EL endorsement required Experience working with adolescents and diverse student populations preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills Commitment to equity and student success Why Work with Encompass Academy? Substitute teachers work on an as-needed basis, providing classroom coverage when teachers are absent due to illness, professional development, or other planned or unexpected absences. As a small public charter high school, we value strong relationships, teamwork, and creating a positive learning environment where every student can succeed. Responsibilities Provide instruction and maintain a positive, productive classroom environment. Follow lesson plans and classroom routines provided by teachers and administrators. Take attendance and supervise students throughout the school day. Uphold school expectations and policies. Communicate professionally with students and staff. Qualifications Valid Nevada Substitute Teaching License (required). Strong classroom management and communication skills. Reliable, professional, and student-focused.
