About Our Charter Unlocking Potential Through Education Encompass Academy is a public charter high school sponsored by the Washoe County School District. As a tuition-free school of choice, we operate under a charter agreement that outlines our mission, goals, and accountability measures. Our most recent charter renewal was approved in 2024, reflecting our continued commitment to student achievement, equity, and innovation. You can read our current charter in full below. Arts & Crafts Club The Arts & Crafts Club at Encompass Academy is a fun and creative space where students can explore a variety of hands-on art projects, learn new crafting skills, and express themselves through creativity. Students may participate in activities such as painting, drawing, seasonal crafts, DIY projects, jewelry making, and more while connecting with other students who enjoy art and creativity. No prior experience is needed — all students are welcome! Students interested in joining or learning more should speak with Ms. Vikkie.

Press Releases Scholastic Gateway Fund Press Release Encompass Academy was awarded a $9,974.86 grant from the Konner Robison Scholastic Gateway Fund to enhance its one-to-one device program. The funds will be used to purchase iPads and protective cases, ensuring equitable access to technology for all students and supporting academic success. JumpStart Dual Credit Program with TMCC Encompass Academy partners with Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) through the JumpStart Dual Credit Program to help students enroll in college courses that also earn them high school credit. This opportunity allows students to get a head start on their degree while still meeting graduation requirements. Courses are available online or in person at TMCC’s campus, providing flexibility to fit students’ needs and schedules.
