8th Grade Application To apply to Encompass Academy for the 2024-2025 school year, 8th grade students can click the link below to fill out our PDF application. Explorer Athletics Welcome to the Explorer Athletics program! At Encompass Academy, participation in sports is more than just competition—it’s an opportunity for students to grow as individuals and teammates. Our athletics program builds on the school’s core values of academic achievement, social-emotional growth, enrichment, and personalized pathways. We are proud to support student-athletes in developing resilience, teamwork, integrity, and a strong work ethic—both on and off the field. Encompass Academy is currently in its probationary period as an independent member of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA), the governing body for high school sports in Nevada. We compete primarily in the Division 1A league and in charter school competitions. JumpStart Dual Credit Program with TMCC Encompass Academy partners with Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) through the JumpStart Dual Credit Program to help students enroll in college courses that also earn them high school credit. This opportunity allows students to get a head start on their degree while still meeting graduation requirements. Courses are available online or in person at TMCC’s campus, providing flexibility to fit students’ needs and schedules. Prom at Encompass Academy Prom is one of Encompass Academy’s favorite annual traditions and gives students the opportunity to celebrate the school year with an elegant evening of music, dancing, and memories with friends. All students in good standing are invited to attend. Prom 2026 was held at the Whitney Peak Hotel with a “Starry Night” theme, creating a fun and memorable experience for students. Details about Prom 2027 will be announced during the next school year.
