School Uniform & Dress Code

This is a brief overview of Encompass Academy’s uniform expectations and is not the full dress code. Please refer to the Student Handbook for complete details.

Encompass Academy maintains a strong uniform policy to promote unity, professionalism, and a focused learning environment. Students are expected to arrive at school in uniform every day.

 

Uniform Tops

• Students must wear a collared polo shirt with the Encompass Academy logo while on campus.

• Older Encompass Academy logo polos are still acceptable.

• Shirts worn underneath uniform polos must be plain black, white, gray, or purple.

• Spirit shirts and other non-uniform Encompass apparel may only be worn on designated Spirit Days.

 

Outerwear

• Students may wear Encompass Academy sweatshirts or jackets with the school logo.

• Plain, solid-colored outerwear in black, white, gray, or purple is permitted.

• Boys & Girls Club sweatshirts are permitted.

• Outerwear does not replace the required Encompass Academy polo.

 

Uniform Bottoms

Students may wear:

• Black, khaki, or gray pants, shorts, skirts, or skorts

• Solid black athletic pants or sweatpants

• Solid black leggings

• Solid black denim/jeans

All bottoms must be properly sized, free of holes or tears, and appropriate for school.

Athletic shorts are not permitted.

Shorts, skirts, and skorts must be an appropriate length and no shorter than 3 inches above the knee.

Footwear & Accessories

• Closed-toe shoes with hard soles are required.

• Socks and tights should be black, white, gray, or purple.

• Open-toed shoes and slippers are not permitted.

• Chains or other accessories that create a safety concern are not permitted.

Students Who Arrive Out of Uniform

Students who arrive at school out of uniform may be asked to change into a school-provided loaner uniform or have appropriate uniform clothing brought to school by a parent/guardian.

Families who are waiting for a uniform order or need assistance obtaining uniforms should contact the school. Loaner uniform shirts may be available.

Repeated uniform violations may result in additional disciplinary action.

PE & Athletics

• Students should arrive at school in uniform and change into athletic clothing for PE as directed.

• Students participating in after-school athletics should bring appropriate athletic clothing to change into after school.

• On approved game days, eligible student-athletes may wear their team jersey or approved spirit pack with uniform bottoms.
