Salvation Army holds drive-thru food distributions in Reno

(News 4-Fox 11) — The Salvation Army in Reno will hold drive-thru food box distributions this week for families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The food distribution event will be held at the Salvation Army of Reno at 1931 Sutro Street on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. These distributions are made possible by the generous support and partnership from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Salvation Army beneficiaries living at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Program will begin packing the food boxes. The men have continued their recovery in the program throughout the Coronavirus Emergency, even though Salvation Army Thrift Stores were forced to closed.
