The current science curriculum is in a transitional phase. We have been attending the WCSD lead teacher meetings for science, and are using the curricular focuses to help develop and refine our own curriculum. We had looked to use the transitional documents to support our curriculum development, however there was an additional shift that occurred in the fall. It is our goal to use the science overviews established by WCSD as a guide to refine all our courses. At present, we have done so with our physical science class. Our next focus is biology, and then earth science for 17-18. In the 2017-18 school year, we will be shifting our progress to more closely mirror the school district: life science (biology) for freshman, physical science for sophomores, and earth science for juniors.
